English

Maths
- We will be continuing with our Maths No Problem scheme of work.
- Year 1: Numbers to 10, number bonds, addition, subtraction, position, shapes patterns, length and height.
- Year 2: Numbers to 100, addition and subtraction, multiplication, division, length, mass and temperature.
Science and Computing
- Year 1 Science: Our bodies and our senses
- Year 2 Science: Living things and their habitats
- Year 1 Computing: Programmable toys
- Year 2 Computing: Programming on screen
Humanities
- Geography: We will be learning about maps, compass points, landmarks and how to locate them.
- History: In our unit on The Great Fire of London, children will learn to sequence significant events and will learn about Samuel Pepys diary.
- Year 1 RE: Hinduism: What does it mean to belong?
- Year 2 RE: Christianity: Can stories change people?
PSHE and Wellbeing Lessons
- This term we will focus on Children’s Rights, staying healthy and emotional wellbeing.
- Pupils will learn to use emotional vocabulary, understanding the mood meter, the cause of emotions, understanding emotions in others, understanding frustration and happiness.
Modern Foreign Languages
- Year 1 French: Basic conversation and mini bugs.
- Year 2 French: Family and numbers.
- Children will also have weekly Mandarin Chinese lessons this term.
Music
- Children will work with Mr Nathan to develop their skills of listening and responding to music, understanding the dimensions of music and composing, using the topic of London as a springboard.
Art & DT
- This term, we will be working with Mr Yusuf to explore different ways of representing London, with a focus on book making.
