WORLD BOOK DAY!

Today at Charles Dickens, the building was awash with weird and wonderful characters from the most amazing range of books!

Both children and adults was dressed up as their favourite characters – who did you think was wearing the best costume?!

Mr Windle organised a fun-packed day and an excellent assembly in which, with Ms Gemmell’s help, we sung our favourite book-related song!

Well done to everyone who dressed up and I hope you had a brilliant day – I know I did!

Food Growing Schools Assembly

Today, with spring around the corner, we had a special guest who came to visit us called Lucy from Food Growing Schools London.

She told us all about the food we could grow in our school and at home. We could plant a grow a huge range of healthy vegetables and herbs!

I can’t wait to get out into the garden and get started with planing to seeds!

Havisham Class Assembly

On Thursday morning, we were treated to a wonderful train ride through the rainforest.  We learnt all about the dangers that threaten the environment.  Not only did we see some amazing animals, we witnessed some brilliant singing and dancing!

Thank you so much Havisham for your excellent performance.
