This week we were again so proud to hear of all the wonderful reasons why children got star of the week, this week , including excellent progress in handwriting.  Again our friends of the week were chosen for their kindness to others on the playground and it has been wonderful to hear stories of lots of children helping each other if they have worries or concerns.  Also well done to Yellow Team who won the house point competition! Finally congratulations to our cake raffle winner who got tho take home the delicious cake this week. Thank you to Malachai and Ethan’s mum for donating the fantastic cake – it looks yummy!

During our Monday assembly slot we not only celebrated all of these achievements, but we also celebrated Chinese New Year.  Thank you so much to Mercutio and Aubrey’s mum who helped us to celebrate by telling us about her childhood in China and playing some Chinese music on the piano for us.

What a lot of stars from two weeks shared in one post!

Well done to our stars of the week. This week some maths superstars were chosen for their problem solving solving skills and their resilience in the face of challenge. Last weeks stars of the week were also a determined and focused group who never give up and show great maturity – well done to all of you. Our Friends of the week were selected for their politeness and their willingness to involve everyone in their play! We are very luck to have such fantastic children at our school!

Finally – what a cake! Thank you to Mike Hill for making such a delicious cake for the cake raffle. Once again lots of money was raised for the school PTA projects and the Costanzo family were the luck winners!

Today we had our final Stars of the Week assembly for this academic year. Many of the teachers found it too difficult to choose just one star and rewarded their whole class for their creativity, hard work and effort. Well done also to our friends of the week for their friendliness and politeness.

We also gave out special prizes for the school council members for this year – they have done an excellent job of representing their classes to ensure pupils’ voices are heard in whole school matters. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Finally congratulations to our 24 club champion who received a special present from his fellow members to reward both his quick mental maths skills and his great teamwork!
