Multi-language Story Telling and Book-themed cake sale!

This afternoon, Charles Dickens hosted a fabulous book-themed cake sale to celebrate the end of a brilliant week of reading! There were cakes of all shapes and sizes and some with very recognisable characters on! We also, in the library, held a very special event. We had a multi-language story telling session! There were stories read in Spanish (Sofia’s mum), a traditional Italian tale (Ms Jamois), The Hungry Caterpillar in Japanese (Rico and Ellie’s mum) and a French story (Ms Lucile).

It was a wonderful way to see out what feels like has been World book WEEK!

Thank you to everybody who took part and contributed!
