Young marketeers!

Last week Tye, Rajayden, Iyman, Adenita, Gabriel and Tiffany baked foods from around the world and then sold these at yet another sale in Borough Market in order to raise money for the Fareshare charity.

The children gave up some of their lunchtimes to bake and decorate traditional Italian spiced biscuits, make ingredients labels, price tags and other signs. They were so enthusiastic some of the children baked special foods they cook at home to take to the sale. We had foods from Kosovo, Jamaica, Ethiopia and Brazil. So a huge thank you goes out to parents for their wonderful support.

There were four schools at the sale and Charles Dickens alone managed to raise the biggest amount with over £110 from just two hours of trading. The children were very professional and have actually had a real taste of retail work. A huge well done to them!
