Friendship Week – Big Friend, Little Friend!

This week the staff and pupils of Charles Dickens Primary have been celebrating our annual friendship week. Staff have been sharing the love by giving gifts to their ‘secret friends’ drawn from a ballot. Children throughout the school have done the same, making cards for their friends, helping each other with their learning, and generally showing kindness and consideration. Children from Nursery up to Year 6 spent Thursday afternoon ‘buddying-up’ with other classes in an initiative called ‘big friend, little friend’. Older children supported younger children with reading, computing, writing, creative arts activities and more. The intention is to spread harmony, compassion, and friendship throughout the school, helping children to help one another. A big thank you to Mr Vanson for organising the activities so effectively.
