The democratic process was in full swing today as each house elected this years House Captains. Every child, from reception up to year six, listened to impressive persuasive speeches by each candidate vying for the coveted title of House Captain. After the speeches, the tricky decision of who to elect needed to be made (and with such a high calibre of candidates, it was a very tough decision indeed!) Once minds were made up, every child got to mark their preference on the ballot paper after being given a guide to elections and democracy from our house coaches. The children have spoken through the power of the ballot box , the votes are being counted and the winners will be announced by the end of the week.
