Lucky is a quail that was born too small and too late to be accepted by the rest of our quail chicks. He was attacked by bigger quails when he was quite young so Lucky has been hand reared separately. Until a few days ago, Lucky has shared an office with our headteacher however he was given a new home in the school garden to benefit from the fresh air. He has been accidentally let out of his cage by someone and we can’t find him. We would like everyone to keep an eye out for him. He is a bit bigger than this picture now with fluffy white feather and some brown ones too on his chest. He is tame but frightened and we are hoping because he is ‘Lucky’, that Mr Fox hasn’t found him and he might be living locally?
