Good morning Reception.

Today we will be counting backwards, playing ’1 less than’ ping pong and solving some addition problems. All you need is a pencil and paper and ideally, a number line to 30, although I’ve included one on the screen to help you too.

Don’t forget to send me photographs of your work if you are doing this at home.

Take some time to reflect on the activities you have completed and remember that you can still add to your capsule as the weeks go on and record your personal histories.

You might want to think back to your ‘Everyday Heroes’ activities, record new skills you are learning and interview family members and friends from different households.

Inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat’s painting ‘red rabbit’ we’ll be creating our own super brave rabbit.

Like Basquiat we’ll be combining it with writing too, a lot like a sketchbook, layering oil pastels over felt tip pens.

This week, you will need some colouring pencils, crayons or watercolour paints as we do some ‘drawing meditation’.
