Good morning Reception!

As we approach the end of our Virtual School journey and start to think about the new adventures we are embarking upon for the Summer and beyond, it’s totally normal to feel lots of emotions; from happiness, to sadness, all at the same time.

The important thing is that we talk about our feelings as this always helps us to feel better, it especially helps to keep those pesky worries at bay!

In today’s story, a very brave little girl called Ruby shows us just how to deal with a worry. Have a wonderful day Reception, see you tomorrow!

Happy Friday Reception! Please don’t forget to check out Ms Zandbergs wonderful wellbeing lesson for this week – it includes ideas to help you to relax and find your inner calm – perhaps you could even continue these exercises over the summer holidays.

For your last story of the week, I leave you with a gentle reminder to never judge someone because of something you think you know about them. Whether you are a boy or a girl, we are all just as unique, special and talented as each other and there is nothing you can’t do! Have a wonderful weekend Reception.

In today’s phonics lesson Mr. Paul and Wendy teach us a new game we can play using a pen, some paper and a reading book!

For today’s handwriting, we’re doing something a little different and making some special handwriting wands! All you need is a stick and some string, wool or ribbon. You can add extras with feathers, sequins (with threading holes) and you could even use glue to stick extra decorations on too. You may want to make one to use over the summer holidays to keep your muscles nice and strong as you practice shapes in the air, but it’s also a great prop as you pretend to be magical beings of all kinds!
