Do you remember how many there were altogether before they were hidden?

Have fun- anything can be counted

Try to remember how many you have altogether without having to count each time.

Yesterday we looked at the story of The Big Wide-Mouthed Frog.

Here is a link to the story read by Ms Beveridge.

Can you make up a story about a frog? You could draw a picture of your frog and get your grown up to write your story.

Please share with us at tt.charlesdickens@gmail.com and maybe I could be reading your story soon!

Following from yesterday, have a go at making a shopping list showing that you need five of each object. Here you can see Mrs Jamois making a shopping list to remind her husband to buy five lemons, five oranges and five apples when he next goes shopping.

How about making your own fruit and veg shop indoors?

A feely bag game is a great way to encourage children’s language. Gather some objects from your home and place in a bag. Try to encourage your child to use descriptive words to explain what they can feel.

Here is a video example.

Inspired by your wonderful frog song singing and beautiful frog pictures, today we will be singing 5 little speckled frogs together.

Can you make your own frogs and sing the song to your toys. You could be the teacher and teach them all about the number five.

How many are in the pond and how many are left on the log each time?

Altogether there should always be five, is this so?

If you would like to have a go at making your own frogs see how easy it can be using an old egg box.

Today’s story is Oi Frog.

Can you hear the rhyming words? Can you think of any words that rhyme?

Following on from yesterday’s story can you learn the song of the kookaburra with Mrs Jamois?

Junk modelling is a great way to encourage children’s imagination. A few boxes and some tape can become a castle, a boat or even a spaceship. Let’s see where our imagination takes us!

Please share photos of your creations on the contact email. We would love to see what you come up with!
