We are going to explore which shapes will make our bed stronger. So, the challenge is to make a bed for one of your toys.

Take a look and see if Mrs Harris is successful in making a bed which is sturdy enough for Twinkle? Click here to watch the video.

You could use junk modelling, building blocks, duplo or Lego or all of these.

Vocabulary: Base, wide, sturdy, position, place on top, beside

This week is all about fiction and information text. The story Mrs Harris is going to read to you today contains information about what lies beneath your bed as well as a story.

Have a listen to this the story here and practise those excellent listening skills you have.

Once you have had a listen to the story try this activity.

Categorise your toys:

Make a collection of toys. You can sort them as you like. Why not have a go at sorting them by their initial sounds. for example put all the toys that start with ‘b’ in one pile and so on..
