Welcome back to the virtual school! We hope you had fun, relaxing weekends. It was a very special day yesterday – it was Ishan’s birthday! Happy birthday Ishan! We hope you had a brilliant time celebrating. We’d love to see photos of what you got up to.

Today, you are doing English (Guided Reading), Maths (fractions), Science (plants) and Dance with Delene. What a way to start the week! Keep your emails, photos and videos coming – we are in awe of the amazing work you’re doing at home.

We are also very excited to introduce a new whole school History time capsule project! There is a link to the video about it in the Geography/History section. This week, you are going to be making your time capsule – please send us photos!

Hello Year 3 and welcome to another day of virtual school! We have been so impressed with the gardening skills many of you have been showing off in the photos and videos you’ve been sending us. It has inspired us teachers to get our own green fingers busy too! To celebrate, here are a few of our favourite photos of you and your lovely plants!

This week, you are retelling the whole story of ‘Escape from Pompeii’ from Tranio’s perspective, using the sentence types you learnt last week. If your writing last week is anything to go by, your stories this week are going to be amazing!

Hello Year 3 and welcome to another day of virtual school! We have been so impressed with all the different activities and new skills that you have been learning, which include: baking, gardening and much more. We have seen Martin’s sunflower, Josan’s wonderful truffle making and Kayin’s seed planting. Keep your emails, photos and videos coming as they are so wonderful to see and it has inspired Mrs Worley to grow her own cucumbers!

Today, you are doing English (writing the opening and build up from Tranio’s perspective), Maths (finding the missing the denominator in a fraction), Handwriting, Art (in the syle of Henri Matisse) and finally, today is your first Relationships and sex education lesson with Mr Vanson. Bonjour Year 3 – c’est le dernier jour d’avril! That’s right, it’s the day for your French lesson! And (in English this time) it is the last day of April. We knew that by checking how many days there are in April using our knuckles and our days in the month song, just like we learnt to do in maths… Wow, that came around quickly!

It’s also a very special day because it’s Kamso’s birthday! Happy birthday Kamso! We hope you have a brilliant birthday weekend. Send us some photos of what you get up to.

We are living through a time in history which future generations will probably learn about when they’re at school! Ms Spears has planned a really exciting whole school project for the next few weeks, in which you will create your own time capsule as a document of your time in lockdown, through objects, pictures and words.
