Year 3 Virtual School

Daily Message

Thank you for the book recommendations! There is a theme here in Year 3… Loads of you love the ‘Tom Gates’ series! Amina has also recommended the ‘Moomin’ books, and Andrew said: “I have been reading a book called ‘The 65 Storey Treehouse’ by Andy Griffins and illustrated by Terry Denton. I would recommend reading it because Andy and Terry had put themselves in the story and in each book the tree house gets bigger and bigger. The illustrations were very funny, especially the time travelling part where they met their ancestors.” Keep sending in your recommendations and we will share them with the rest of the year.

You have another Maths live worksheet on fractions to complete by 4pm on Thursday. You did brilliantly with the one last week. The link is in the Maths section below.

It’s also time for your next time capsule task! This week’s focus is creating an activity wheel. The video with instructions is in the Humanities section.

Today, you are doing English, Maths, Science and Dance with Delene. What a way to start the week! Keep your emails, photos and videos coming – we love seeing the learning that you’re doing at home!

It’s the final week of our class book, Granny Magic! Find out what happens and see Ms Jacobs’ very special knitted shawl here.

Finally, congratulations to our Stars of the Week !
