Welcome back! And belated Eid Mubarak to those who were celebrating last weekend! We hope you had a great half term. What did you get up to? All three of your teachers spent a lot of time on their bikes and read seven books between them!

We have some exciting new units coming up this half of term. From next week, we will be moving on to angles in Maths (bye bye fractions!), starting an environmental science unit and learning about the Anglo-Saxons in History. In English, our adventures with Muncle Trogg continue…

We are continuing with fractions. You will be completing Lesson 28 of Chapter 11 in your work books, which is solving fraction word problems. You will be applying your understanding of fractions to solve the word problem. This will involve adding fractions with the same denominator and then simplify the fraction after adding.

We are continuing with fractions. You will be completing Lesson 29 of Chapter 11 in your work books, which is solving word problems using fractions. You will be solving word problems using bar models to represent amounts. It is important that the bar models are labelled correctly and accurately.

We did it Year 3! As a year group, we have officially climbed the flights of stairs equivalent to climbing Ben Nevis! That’s 587 flights of stairs – amazing job everyone! Since you’re probably feeling tired after all that exercise, today’s Fitness Friday challenge is nice and easy. We want you to pick your favourite song and dance around your sitting room. Go crazy! And for an extra challenge, ask your parents to pick their favourite song and they can join in the dancing too! The more embarrassing the better…

Welcome to Avocado Watch, Isabel from Nickleby! Amina from Oliver Class is still in the lead, but it looks like a few of us are catching up now. Keep sending in your avocado photos and keep an eye out for those roots.
