Welcome back one and all.
We’re excited to be back for another week of virtual school.

Mixed Maths Monday! Missing number problems are there to be solved today. Mr Huxley has tried to trick you by setting three questions for you to answer and send in. Question one is easy, question two tries to trick you and question three might have more than one answer (or maybe no answer at all!) We can’t wait to see how you get on.

Today we make a start at wiritng newspaper articles in English, do some more exploring of capacity in Maths and then we can finish the day off with some French and Yoga. Maybe we can ask Ms. Fraser to comine the French with her Yoga lesson for next week.

It’s Friday June 26th and It’s boiling hot! Summer is well and truly here. What a week it has been! First of all, welcome back to some of the Year 5’s. It’s all gone very well in both school and online with the virtual school. Also, it’s been so lovely being able to chat to some of you this week! Just hearing your voices has rejuvenated the Year 5 Team!
Today we have our last English lesson on Shackleton’s Journey with Ms. Smith and a wonderful capacity maths lesson with Mr. Huxley; rounding off the afternoon with RE and wellbeing.

How much water do you use everyday? It’s more than you think! Mr Huxley demonstrates by trying to drink a litre of water (don’t try this at home).

Have we always had clean water? Can illnesses be caused by dirty water? Mr Huxley explains by talking about one of his heroes of the 19th century, Dr John Snow.
