This week all of the year 3/4s visited the largest Hindu temple outside of India! It is in Neasden in north west London. It was extremely enlightening for staff, parents and children alike. We learnt about how the temple was built – each block being carefully carved in India by skilled workers and sent over to England. We also learnt about why the temple is important to Hindus and we even got to watch a ceremony take place. Trips like these are immeasurably important for the children, not only in terms of their exposure to different cultures but also in terms of building respect for faiths of others and different communities.
