Evaluating our Approach

We are one of the first schools to have introduced a measure of wellbeing, which we did in 2017. We use a combination of qualitative pupil surveys and quantitative observation to measure well being over time.

We belong to a mental health peer review group. These are schools working at the cutting edge of mental health to evaluate and improve our practice. Wimbledon High School for Girls, Beormund Special School and Charles Dickens Primary School have worked alongside Dr John Ivens of Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School and IPEN to develop a Framework for self-evaluation of wellbeing.

This framework provides the focus for a visit from other group members to provide external evaluation and support for self-improvement.
