Welcome to the Nursery

Our nursery offers high-quality Early Years provision in thoughtfully designed spaces that support independence, confidence and curiosity from the very start.

We welcome babies from 9 months through to pre-school, with each room carefully organised at child level to encourage purposeful play and self-discovery.

Children’s personal, social and emotional development sits at the heart of everything we do. Through warm, responsive relationships and a strong key worker approach, children learn to understand their feelings, care for themselves and others, and build the foundations for learning. Carefully planned routines, rich language experiences, daily physical activity and specialist music teaching ensure every child is supported to thrive.

Nursery places at Streatham Wells

Streatham Wells Nursery offers the equivalent of 30 full-time places each year for children aged three and above.

Children usually start nursery in September after their third birthday. If a place becomes available earlier, we may contact families to offer an earlier start.

We provide a combination of 15-hour and 30-hour funded places, depending on eligibility and availability.

Part-time, full-time places

We offer 15-hour and 30-hour funded places for children aged three and above.

Children attending full-time are in nursery five days a week, 8:50am–3:20pm, while part-time places are offered over two and a half days, with Wednesday as a half day.

All children are entitled to 15 hours of free early education from the term after they turn three, and some families may be eligible for 30 hours. Every nursery day includes a free hot school meal.
