RISE Reception Networks

Purpose of the RISE Reception Networks

Charles Dickens Primary School and Nursery – Lead School

The RISE Reception Networks bring together Reception practitioners and leaders to strengthen early years practice through collaboration, reflection and shared learning.

As a Lead School, Charles Dickens Primary School and Nursery coordinates opportunities for schools to connect, explore effective Reception practice and support continuous improvement.

This webpage provides a central access point for resources, examples and links that support Reception improvement and complement the work of the RISE Reception Networks.

The networks are intended to act as a supportive professional community where schools can:

Share and reflect on evidence‑informed Reception practice
Explore practical approaches to curriculum, provision and routines
Develop confidence in assessment, observation and transition into Year 1
Learn from each other’s experiences and examples of strong practice
Revisit and build on themes introducedthrough meetings and events
