Following a lovely roast dinner, we all set out to explore the local countryside including the banks of the River Severn, the local dairy and beef farms and views across to the Cotswolds one way and Wales the other. What a wonderful way to walk off roast potatoes and home made stuffing…
Muddy walks at Wickcourt

Sunday Morning at Wickcourt Farm
Saturday at Wickcourt Farm
Thursday at Wick Court Farm
The last full day at Wick Court was activity packed with farm duties but also a visit to our partner school ‘ Eastington Primary’, a visit to Slimbridge Bird Sanctuary and home in time for tea and a final night of games – all the children will return tomorrow shattered but also experts in agriculture and ‘charades’.

Wednesday at Wick Court Farm
Lots of individual memories of today – morning jobs including tidying the farmhouse ( we hope they are this tidy and organised at home!) getting up early , suited and booted to look for eggs, singing Christmas carols to the turkeys and filling the huge composting dragon with scraps;

Even farmers have to eat!
Tuesday at Wick Court Farm
They’ve turned in to farmers!
Charles Dickens ones so of course they are spending time singing at turkeys, creating drama scenes and rewriting lyrics to ‘Consider yourselves’. The weather is cloudy and dry so our children are off orienteering after visiting the chicken farm and even fitting in a bit of birdwatching!
Monday at Wick Court Farm
Despite the initial drizzle, our young farmers have not been defeated by the weather today. After a hearty breakfast, they were up and about bird watching with Mr MacKinnon, dancing in muddy puddles, looking after the animals and writing their postcards home with big mugs of hot chocolate to warm them up. Mrs Rhys Evan is now en route to join the team and hopefully she will not be bringing the London ‘sunshine’ with her!
Wick Court parents, look out for your postcards!
