Thank you Gargery for treating us to a wonderful assembly linked to Chinese New Year. We learnt about the race organised by the Emperor, the rat who won by catching a ride on the ox and how the animals positions in the race influence the order of the Chinese zodiac. Your voices were loud and proud, your artwork glorious and your singing soothing. You not only sung in English but also in Chinese and French – wow! Special thanks to Mercutio’s mum for playing the piano – a piece which reminded her of New Year as a child in China. Well done to all the adults who supported and above all to all the child actors.
