Transformation of the playground ship!

Earlier this week, Years One and Two stepped into a magical new world! The “upside down ship” in the playground has been transformed into a beautiful underwater hideaway. The Year One and Two teachers covered the ship in polythene and cardboard and then, with Sara and Mr Yusuf’s help, the children decorated its interior in glorious technicolour! The painting builds on the children’s work on the Seaside, particularly the book “Flotsam” which has provided the inspiration for many of the illustrations. Next week, the ship will be used as a storytelling space when the children share their creative writing from the past three weeks. Pop your head inside when you’re next in the playground – you’ll be amazed!
