Copperfield at the British Museum

Today, Copperfield Class have been exploring the British Museum. As well as visiting the Ancient Egyptian rooms, the children visited the Samsung centre and took part in a digital workshop to decode ancient Egyptian tomb paintings.

Children were able to explore ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife and create a digital collage inspired by the paintings from the tomb of Nebamun. Copperfield also discussed the ideas of: family, food, hobbies and the environment of the ancient Egyptians.

Mr Young, and the children of Copperfield, described trip as “Excellent! Really, really excellent!”

Chuzzlewit, Barkis and Summerson will be going on the same trip in the coming weeks and it sounds like they have lots to look forward to!
