Shakespeare Schools’ Festival

Last night, we were extremely proud of 28 of our Year Four and Five pupils, who performed “Henry V” as part of this year’s Shakespeare Schools’ Festival. They have been working solidly for nearly three months to prepare for their rendition of Shakespeare’s famous history play and last night was the culmination of their efforts. The children worked together brilliantly to create another ensemble performance and the pulled it off amazingly well! Henry V is a new play for Primary School pupils in the Festival and a representative of Shakespeare Schools’ said how delighted she was with the way in which the children combined humour, excitement and passion in the space of forty minutes. The pictures that you see here were taken by Ms Guthrie during our dress rehearsal but Mrs Buchanan has also purchased the photographs taken by Splaat Photograpy on the day and we hope to be able to share these with you too as there are some great shots! Well done everyone and now take a well-earned break!
