Last Thursday, our year 5 and 6 classes performed their operas to an enthusiastic crowd of parents and friends of Charles Dickens Primary School.
The Grand Operas have been the culmination of a 10 week project on Opera and Theatre including how to write an opera, writing lyrics and melodies for arias, musical notation, lighting and staging workshops, set design, costume design, an introduction to PR, directing, producing and of course, lots and lots of music.
We were extremely proud of them all, not just for their finished production but also for their teamwork and their ability to work independently.
