Year 5 and 6 spent a glorious day at Dulwich Park. The children have spent the last week collecting sponsorship for either a running, long distance walking or timed skipping event and today they all completed their challenge. The money raised will be used by Miss Robertson to help teachers and pupils learn English in Ethiopia. It will help to buy resources and computers for the children in the city she lives in – Bahir Dar. Can you find it in an atlas?
After their challenge, the children split in to small groups and dabbled in accurate map reading to orienteer around the park. This was followed by a lunch in a breezy beautiful grove and games of ‘kick the can’. A wonderful day was had by all.
