Year 5/6 had an absolutely wonderful afternoon on Wednesday 11th September when they had the fantastic opportunity to meet Katerine Rundell the author of Rooftoppers . The book tells the tale of Sophie and her search for her mother. Along the way, she meets a unique set of characters who help her on her adventure, which is set on the rooftops of Paris . The pupils had the opportunity to ask Katherine questions about her inspiration for the book and to ask her for advice on their own writing . Ms Sumner’s book group also had a chance to write with Katherine and to learn some of her tricks of the trade. If you haven’t read the book yet, we thoroughly recommend it .
What a great opportunity- M was buzzing afterwards, and wants to go to Oxford – to run on the roofs!!
