What learning did this assembly involve? was the question asked of children at the end and despite not a word being said by any children involved, the audience could identify PE (yoga and dance), Geography (India) and Mathematics (coordinates and properties of numbers including prime and squared). Barnaby pulled their learning together in a performance which took us from a calming yoga experience, through multi armed Indian Gods teaching us mathematics to a vibrant Bollywood finale. Children learn when it is cross curricular and fun and this assembly captured that brilliantly.
