Creativity

We nourish imaginations and nurture creative expression.

At Charles Dickens Primary School, creativity means more than just the arts, although it’s still an important part of it. For us, it is a way of thinking and an approach to life. Our pupils learn to develop adaptable flexible critical thinking and express their own thoughts, feelings and ideas.

Whether that’s crafting a painting, explaining a complicated scientific process, resolving a conflict or constructing an argument, we actively develop children’s ability to confidently express themselves in a variety of ways and in an environment where they are encouraged to be themselves, take risks, fail and try again.
