Admissions

We have 60 places each year in our reception classes, 56 across our nursery classes and we occasionally have places available in other year groups. For Nursery admissions, see the section below.

Primary School Admissions are administered by our Local Authority, Southwark and we adhere to their processes and policies for administering places fairly. In the event of there being more applications than places available, then Southwark apply our oversubscription criteria (outlined in our admissions policy). For more information of primary admissions look at the primary admissions section of the Southwark Website

Instructions showing you how to apply online can be seen here

In-Year admissions

If you are interested in an in-year ( after Reception admissions) primary school place for your child, please contact Maria Faherty, our admissions manager in the school office.

Tel: 02074071768

Children are placed on a waiting list. When a place becomes available, it will be allocated according to the criteria on our admissions policy.

An offer of a place

Please note that the offer of a school place is conditional until proof of address has been confirmed by the school. Original copies of the following will be required:

  • Child benefit documentation, or if you’re no longer eligible to receive child benefit you’ll need a letter from the HMRC confirming you were previously in receipt of child benefit
  • Council Tax bill
  • One other proof of address (TV licence, bank statement, credit/store card statement)

You can find out more about this on the Southwark Admissions website here

If you move house after submitting your application but before an offer has been made, this could affect your offer. Please follow the Southwark guidance here .

Nursery Admissions

Children can join the nursery in the September after their 2nd birthday (Aged two) or the September after their 3rd birthday (Aged 3).

We may also be able to offer places at other points in the year if places remain available.

Children in our Tiny Tim nursery automatically move into the Trotwood room in the year before they start school.

We take children’s names on our waiting list when they reach their first birthday.

You can apply directly to the school for entry into Nursery using the following application forms (also available from the school office).

This form along with your child’s birth certificate and two proofs of address completes your application.

If you would like to visit the school, please book a school tour. These take place on Tuesday mornings and the dates are available from the school office.

Please note:

Nursery offers are conditional until proof of date of birth and address have been given.

Confirmation of a nursery place is currently no guarantee of a school place for the following year. All Southwark parents need to apply via Southwark Council. You can find out more information on this by visiting their website.
