Hello everyone! Today, you are creating a story map to show what Simon the squirrel buys on each planet. You will probably need a little bit of your grown-ups help for the first part of this. Make sure you have your English books, some colouring pencils and a writing pencil ready. I can’t wait to read your imaginative, descriptive labels for each item that Simon buys.

Today, we will be reviewing your stories so far. Are they exciting enough? Let’s have a go at adding some action words to the start of your sentences today. We will be doing two together and you will do two on your own. Don’t forget to practice orally rehearsing the other sentences too as this will really help when we come to write them down together on Friday. Please keep sending me photos of your excellent, imaginative work!

Today we have a practical lesson making number cards to 20.
We will use these cards to order numerals and arrange them in order in different ways.
You will need paper, scissors and a pen or a pencil.
You may also like to have some pegs and some string if you would like to organise your numerals on a washing line.

Key Stage 1
It’s a fairly short video from me today, as I really want you all to spend some time memorising your stories so far and retelling them to your friends and family. This is in preparation for our writing tomorrow. I find it really helps to add actions when you are retelling a story. If you would like to record these and send them over email then we would love to see them, but please don’t worry if this is too tricky. Enjoy!
