Happy Monday! Following your Fitness Friday dancing, we’d like you to meet Snowball the cockatoo – the first non-human that scientists have shown is able to dance to music! He is 24 years old, lives in America and has 14 dance moves. Let’s all be a bit Snowball this week and think about our favourite 14 dance moves…

You will be identifying right angles (90° angle) using a ‘right-angle tester’ (a piece of paper).

Hello year 3 and welcome to another fun filled day of learning. All the year 3 teachers are so impressed with the creativity that we have seen in your freeze frames, videos and artwork. Many of you are doing your maths live worksheets, and they show how much you have learnt over the past few weeks. Keep up the great work!

Today, you are doing English (Muncle Trogg), handwriting, Maths (comparing angles), Art (Sara Fanelli, creating a bug party). Enjoy and make sure you keep sending in your completed work.

Last week’s answer to the riddle: What can you hear, but not see or touch, even though you control it? Answer: Your voice. We had many of you who sent in your answers. Well Done!!

Don’t forget to have a go at solving today’s riddle in the middle of the week: Where can you find cities, towns, shops, and streets but no people?

We are continuing with angles. You will be completing Lesson 6 of Chapter 12 pages 151 – 154 in your workbooks, which is comparing angles. You will be drawing an obtuse angle (angles which are more than 90°) and then identifying whether angles are larger or smaller than a right angle (90°). You will be naming all the angles you have learned, followed by finding angles on a clock face and letters.
