Winter Nature Walk and Magical Ice Lanterns!
Let’s go on a winter nature walk this week and spot which signs of winter we can see with our special checklist! We will also learn how to make a ‘magical’ ice lantern – all you need is a tealight candle, one larger bowl and one smaller bowl, water and any lovely natural objects you can find at home, or on your walk! You can either freeze in the freezer or, if the temperatures are low enough, leave outside overnight and see if nature does the magic for you!

PSED
It’s all about calmness and confidence this week! Firstly, we will make our own ‘perfumes’ and connect with our sense of smell and then we will make ‘little jars of confidence’ to give our self-esteem a boost!
To make our perfume you can search for lovely scents from your home and get creative! (I used a lemon, a lime, an orange, herbs, tea and scented oil and mixed it all into some plain rice to make a sensory play activity).
Click here for ideas to fill your confidence jar to the brim!
Our apologies but there appears to be a slight dip in sound for a couple of seconds in this lesson. The issue has been resolved and wont happen in future lessons.
Moving and Handling
Today we have an extra activity to build up our upper body strength! You’ll need some playdough (or something you can squeeze!), some paper and big pens. By squeezing, pushing and drawing vertically, we’re strengthening some important muscles!
