I will be reading the first chapter and then you are going to answer some questions based on what you have heard. Then we are going to watch some explorers visiting the Rain Forest in Guyana. Good morning year 4. Today we are going to continue with ‘The Explorer’ by Katherine Rundell. I am going to re-read the first chapter again and then you are going to retell the story to someone in your household. Then you are going to do some drama, imagining you are Fred sitting in the plane and think about the different feelings Fred might have had, during different points of the story. Today I am going to read Chapter 2 of ‘The Explorer – The green dark’. You are then going to write some descriptive sentences based on chapter 2 using the following sentence structure: Position + place, subject and action, eg.
